Starting March 15, part of the intercity railways in Guangdong adopted a new operating timetable. The adjustment increased train frequency on key sections, added new stops for express services, and reduced dwell time at stations.

Four all-stop services:
Feixia (飛霞) - Guangzhou Baiyun (廣州白云)
Panyu (番禺) - Huizhou North (惠州北)
Baiyun Airport North (白云機場北) - Dongguan West (東莞西)
Huadu (花都) - Zhaoqing (肇慶)
Six express services:
Guangzhou Baiyun (廣州白云) - Qingcheng (清城) - Feixia (飛霞)
Zhaoqing (肇慶) - Huizhou North (惠州北)
Panyu (番禺) - Huizhou North (惠州北)
Huadu (花都) - Dongguan West (東莞西)
Guangzhou Baiyun (廣州白云) - Zhuliao (竹料)
Baiyun Airport North (白云機場北) - Foshan West (佛山西)
Guangzhou Lianhuashan (廣州蓮花山) and Shunde North (順德北) stations will be added as new express stops on the Guangzhou-Huizhou and Guangzhou-Zhaoqing intercity lines. Passengers taking express trains and heading toward Baiyun Airport or Huadu can make same-platform transfers at Guangzhou Lianhuashan Station.
The updated timetable increased train frequency on key sections. After the adjustment, the intercity lines operate 273 daily trains, 21 more than before, raising overall network capacity by 8%. For example, the Baiyun Airport North (白云機場北)-Zhuliao (竹料) section sees the average train interval shortened to about 14 minutes.
Metro line 14 express adds new stop
Starting March 16, Guangzhou Metro Line 14 express trains will add Zhuliao (竹料) stop, strengthening connectivity between the metro and intercity rail network. Passengers transferring to intercity trains at Zhuliao Station can exit through Gate C and follow transfer signs to reach the intercity platforms.
With the adjustment, Line 14 express services will stop at 13 stations:
Lejia Road (樂嘉路)-Yunxiao Road (云霄路)-Xinshixu (新市墟)-Mawu (馬務)-Hebian (鶴邊)-Helong (鶴龍)-Pengbian (彭邊)-Jiahe Wanggang (嘉禾望崗)-Baiyun Dongping (白云東平)-Zhuliao (竹料)-Xinhe (新和)-Conghua Coach Terminal (從化客運站)-Dongfeng (東風)
Passengers can check train schedules via the Guangzhou Metro App-Intercity Travel Assistant, the Guangdong Intercity official WeChat account, or the Railway 12306 app.
In 2025, Guangdong's intercity railways transported 32.26 million passengers, up 41.5% year on year, accelerating the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area's "one-hour living circle."
