The 2026 Guangdong Provincial High-Quality Development Conference opened on February 24, the first work day after the Chinese New Year holiday in Guangzhou. This year's conference focuses on promoting the coordinated development of the manufacturing and service industries.

Huang Kunming, Secretary of the CPC Guangdong Provincial Committee, outlined the development vision and goals for the next decade in a keynote speech to build Guangdong into a strong, vibrant, thriving, prosperous and livable province. The total economic output is expected to double from 2022 levels to reach approximately 25.8 trillion yuan.
