The first phase of the 136th session of the China Import and Export Fair, known as the Canton Fair, was held in Guangzhou from Oct. 15th to Oct. 19th. The first phase was themed 'Advanced Manufacturing'.

A number of high-technology, high-value-added products were on display. Over 30,000 exhibitors brought 1.15 million new products, and about 150,000 overseas buyers were pre-registered. The second phase will be held from Oct. 23rd to Oct. 27th.
